Quite a few records I’ve been sitting on without posting. This being one of them. Pre-ordered these from Deathwish the day they went online and was stoked to get the download right away. As expected, an awesome record. Nice to also see some Jake Bannon art that doesn’t look like everything else he has done. I forget the pressing info but these are the two colors from the first pressing.

Vermapyre / Parasite – split 7″

Got in a car accident last night and broke my ulna completely in half so these posts today are going to be brief.

Incredible split by two really great bands. Cant stop listening to the Vermapyre side. Released by Holy Terror Records. Here are 2 of the four versions of this release.

The Yellow vinyl was the pre-order version, limited to 250 ans included embroidered patches for both bands. Purple vinyl is limited to 100 and included a Vermapyre patch only. This record also comes on black and red vinyl. Please get in touch if you have a red cpy you’re willing to trade/sell.

I’d been after this for a while now but was always looking for the right deal/trade and it never seemed to come along until last week. I snatched it up and I’m glad I finally did. This completes my collection of all variations of this record. Released by Holy Terror and limited to 20 copies. Mine is #20/20 which I think is pretty cool for some reason. This is only the second time I have received the last number in a series. The other will be in a post I’ll put up in the next couple days. I think the previous owner included the little yellow scrap of paper so I just put it in the photo anyway. I usually save whatever comes with a record regardless of what it is. This reminds me of another record I need to post up here in the next couple days..

I love Vegas and I love this record. It was good to hear this was finally getting released on vinyl after only having the 7.17 comp 7″ and the split with Moutheater previously released on vinyl. This is the limited pre-order version. Hand numbered out of 50 copies. Mine is #24/50.

I’ve fallen so far behind on updates that I just decided I’ll group all of my recent A389 releases into one post. I can’t complain about any of these. First is the Rot in Hell – NIU one sided 12″. This is a live recording and was released to raise money to bring RIH to the states for the A389 anniversary show this year. I rarely like live records but this one is awesome. Really simple sleeve with silver screened ink print on one side only and a 2 sided insert.

Whenever the Walpurgisnacht 7″ gets released on a new color, I have to pick it up. So here are the two most recent colors released of the Integrity – Walpurgisnacht 7″ on Grey Swirl out of 350 and Custard out of 150. The grey is very dark and almost black. Very hard to tell in this photo. Still love this record.

This next one is totally bizarre. A new 7″ from Mighty Sphincter. I’d have never guessed this was going to happen but I’m glad it did. Purple vinyl, only available as part of the pre-order package (that the remaining records in this post were part of as well) and limited to either 250 or 300. I forget which.

Roses Never Fade – fade to black 12″ on clear vinyl. This compiles all of their songs, finally released as a 12″. I love the crystal clear vinyl and of course the art by Dwid.

Integrity / Creepout – split 7″ Blue vinyl. I thought it was pretty cool how the art from some of the Japanese versions of this record were combined for the US release.

This record was only available if you ordered the complete pre-order package. It’s a split 7″ between Pulling Teeth (featureing Dwid on vocals), performing “New Manson Family”, and Mighty Sphincter (featuring Nick Fiction on vocals), performing “Holy Unholy”.

Seven Sisters of Sleep – s/t 12″ Green Vinyl. This is a great record. Super heavy. I had no idea what to expect but I was for sure happy with it. Check it out if you haven’t.

Swing Kids / Spanakorzo – 10″ Test Press

Years ago I was in love with Swing Kids and I guess I still am. I just hadn’t listened to them in forever until I had the chance to pick up this test press. Not something I would normally think to ever try and get a test press of, but I was really excited to get this. It was great because it took about 2 days to arrive which is really rare.

I’m a stickler so I wish it would have been hand labeled but the labels are blank. Oh well. It did come with a Three One G stamp on the dust sleeve and a huge swing kids sticker, along with the regular sleeve and insert which doesn’t happen that often with a test pressing.

I love Spanakorzo too, but I was never crazy about the material on this release. The Drama lp was the best. I’d love to pick that up again if anybody is looking to get rid of it.

Picked up oneo f the copies of “Irish Blood, English Heart” on Ebay for next to nothing, then right after paying, spotted this lot of 3 7″s together for only a couple bucks more. Couldn’t pass it up and now I have an extra of Irish Blood. Get in touch if you’re interested. The inner sleeve of “I’m throwing my arms around Paris” has a photo of Moz and the band naked..

Ink & Dagger – Love is Dead 7″ Re-press

I used to be a crazy Ink & Dagger fan and collector and had a pretty extensive vinyl collection including rare versions that I’m sure I’ll never be able to find again but I sold all of it long ago. Of course I kick myself now but at the time it was pretty necessary and I had gone though a period where record collecting wasn’t very important to me. I noticed SFU Records was re-pressing the “Love is Dead” record and happened to come across it right when they put the orders up so I figured I would go ahead and order it since they were still selling the most limited version. Here it is. This is the glow in the dark version with silk screened sleeve out of 100. It felt like I had waited forever to finally get this.

I was hesitant to even order it because I was afraid it would re-spark my interest and I would start spending all my money and time searching for all the Ink & Dagger vinyl I used to own but I think I’ve got everything under control. I’m pretty impressed with this release although I would be more impressed if I knew what the hell was inside the sleeve. Sealed envelope sleeve records = sort of cool and really frustrating if you want to leave them sealed but also want to know what’s inside. More often than not, there’s nothing that exciting inside so I think I’ll just leave it as it is and hope to see someone else open theirs.

If you can’t tell, the sleeve is a sealed, black envelope with a silk screened acetate cover. The envelope has a silver bat stamp on it as well. SFU put up some of the limited LA show sleeves they had leftover online and I went to order one but they had sold out by the time I was paying. Pretty frustrating but I should probably not sweat it.

I still have at least a few more records I’ve ended up with from the past few weeks that I’m trying to catch up on but I only post while I’m at work and I’ve been pretty busy lately. I’m a big Never Healed fan and I thought this sleeve idea was great. It’s hard to see in the photos but the sleeve is printed in black ink with some weird orange streaks. Looks like that was an accident but I like how it came out. If you have the 7″ on red or the 7″ with the special sleeve (I think from Chaos in Tejas?) get in touch.

I looked long and hard for this one and finally found it in a small, European, one man distro. This was his last copy but I got it at a completely average 7″ price. Thought it was pretty awesome that this guy wasn’t cashing in on the record when he could have. Still had to pay overseas shipping prices but all in all I was really happy to finally pick this up. Awesome Japanese metal punk for fans of G.I.S.M., Parasite, etc. This was put out by Criminal Trap Records.
